New export routes expand DACHSER Iberia’s operations
The German company DACHSER Iberia is expanding its regional activities. It is offering new export routes from northern Spain to several European countries. Among the latter are the UK, France, Germany and Italy.
Departures on these routes are daily. The routes cover the following Spanish regions:
- Asturias;
- Cantabria;
- Castile-León;
- Galicia;
- Basque Country.
In addition to the Spanish regions, the route passes through eight locations in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Twenty locations in France and northern Italy are also included. The company offers direct connections to hubs in Poland and Slovakia.
DACHSER Iberia is also planning ten weekly departures to three locations in the UK and Ireland.
The company is paying particular attention to developing its logistics network in the northern regions of Spain. It has improved connections between local destinations and its hubs across Europe. This approach has made it possible to expand export transport in the region and include the Baltic and Northern European countries in the routes.
These efforts have enabled DACHSER Iberia to expand its transport capacity. The company’s customers now have access to a high level of service, which in turn increases satisfaction. For the company, such a step opens up access to strategically important markets, thus strengthening its competitiveness.

Company performance
2024 was a successful year for DACHSER. It reported the following indicators:
- revenue growth was 13% and reached over EUR 8 billion;
- organic growth was around 5%;
- increase in the number of transported cargoes was 7.6% and exceeded EUR 83 million;
- tonnage grew by 10.2% to over 44 million tons.
Despite the successful performance, the company faced several factors limiting its development. First and foremost is the weak dynamism of the European sector. This is compounded by rising costs and lower industrial production and consumption. Then there is the pressure of global geopolitical uncertainty. All this has had a negative impact on business growth rates.
Plans and outlook
DACHSER intends to continue its international expansion in its plans for 2025. The priority is to grow its export transport network in America and Asia. The company intends to integrate new routes into the logistics ecosystem in Europe.
At the same time, DACHSER is aware that the current downturn in the global market will make it very difficult to implement its plans. The company intends to overcome the difficulties by systematically investing in promising areas. Moreover, the company has laid a solid foundation to increase resilience and strengthen competitiveness.
