The direct delivery route is available via Belgium, Ireland, and France

WEC Lines has expanded its range of services to attract more customers. The company launched a direct delivery route passing through France, Belgium, and Ireland.

This new route offers an alternative to congested standard waterways, such as the North Sea. WEC Lines’ container transport services offer fast and convenient cargo delivery. The route connects the major ports of Dublin, Zeebrugge, and Le Havre.

Transportation takes place weekly via a vessel with a capacity of up to 868 TEU. It calls at Zeebrugge on Thursday, Dublin on Sunday, and Le Havre on Wednesday. The transportation time is two days from Zeebrugge to Dublin and from Dublin to Le Havre. From Le Havre to Zeebrugge, the ship arrives in one day.

The expansion of the service has increased the capabilities of the Irish port, which now offers three combined routes per week. These routes also cover Spain and Portugal.

According to the company, the new service is designed to meet the following customer needs:

  • transportation of dry cargo;
  • transportation of refrigerated products;
  • fast delivery between Northwest Europe and Ireland.

The route strikes an optimal balance between transportation time and cost. For the company, this service will strengthen its market position and increase its presence in promising European regions. Ireland is of particular interest to WEC Lines. The carrier has operated in the country for about 30 years. During this time, it has launched numerous routes. One of the latest is the route from Dublin to Bilbao, which will be available in 2024.

This new service will also contribute to expanding activities in France. Twice a week, the ship will stop in Le Havre and visit Montreuil. This will attract local customers and increase the company’s market share.
